Exploring the Gold Coast, Australia
After a few days in Brisbane, I left Queensland’s capital behind and headed south in search of beautiful beaches. The Gold Coast stretches just south of Brisbane from Surfer’s Paradise, the metropolitan area Gold Coast, down through Currumbin and ending at the border between Coolangatta and Tweeds Heads. I skipped the first part of the coast. It was far too touristy for my taste, too many resorts and theme parks. Brisbane was a really special place for me to visit. My mom grew up on the outskirts of Brisbane and I was looking forward to finally seeing a place I’d heard about since I was a kid. I decided to spend about 48 hours in Brisbane Australia exploring and visiting with family. How to Help Australia During the Bushfires
Today was set to be when the first of my post about my travels around Australia’s East Coast was set to go live. However, given the current situation, this would not be appropriate and I’m dedicating this post to ways to help Australia during the bushfires.
