    Malta Itinerary for One Week

    January 26, 2020 / 7 Comments

We spent one week in Malta, which was enough to fit in the highlights but not so much time that we got bored. While one week isn’t enough to see every single great thing to do in Malta, there’s plenty of time to see some of its most incredible places. It’s also small enough that you can see a different town/city and take a new day trip every day. Here’s our Malta itinerary for one week: Valletta Our Malta itinerary started with one of my favourite places. I recommend spending 1-2 days in Malta’s beautiful capital, Valletta. We had a much needed lie-in on our first morning in Malta at…

A Day Trip to Marsaxlokk, Malta

    December 4, 2019 / 1 Comment

Marsaxlokk is a charming little fishing village located on the southern part of Malta. The village has gained fame for vibrantly painted fishing boats, fresh seafood, and ancient history. It was also one of my favourite places I visited in Malta. The picturesque harbour is the perfect place to relax for the day. On our second to last day in Malta, we caught a bus from our accommodation in St. Paul’s Bay to Marsaxlokk for a day trip. It was my favourite day from the holiday for a number of reasons, but partly because of how relaxing it was spending the day by the harbour watching the boats. How to…

How to Spend 4 Days in Barcelona

    August 7, 2017 / 2 Comments

Barcelona is one of those rare places that just ticks all the boxes for a perfect city break.  Sunshine and beaches, great food and lively nights out, combined with a rich history and some incredible art and architecture. My most recent visit was for my birthday. Even though it was the peak of tourist season, the city wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded, nor intolerably hot (in fact, if you have a summer birthday, this could just be the perfect place to spend it). The Catalonian city isn’t one you will become bored of quickly, but it’s still possible to experience most of it during a short break. Day 1 in Barcelona See…
