Singapore Travel Tips For Your First Visit

    January 7, 2020 / 6 Comments

Singapore is a breeze to travel to. This beautiful and diverse city is incredibly safe, modern and full of great things to do. After recently spending 24 hours in Singapore, I definitely fell in love with this city. I even spent a little more on my flight to Australia to be able to spend some time here rather than Dubai (also an incredible city, but I’ve seen it before!). And it was worth it. But I also learned a few things by travelling to a new country, picking up some Singapore travel tips along the way. Here’s my Singapore travel tips for your first visit. Tips for travelling around Singapore…

A Day Trip to Marsaxlokk, Malta

    December 4, 2019 / 1 Comment

Marsaxlokk is a charming little fishing village located on the southern part of Malta. The village has gained fame for vibrantly painted fishing boats, fresh seafood, and ancient history. It was also one of my favourite places I visited in Malta. The picturesque harbour is the perfect place to relax for the day. On our second to last day in Malta, we caught a bus from our accommodation in St. Paul’s Bay to Marsaxlokk for a day trip. It was my favourite day from the holiday for a number of reasons, but partly because of how relaxing it was spending the day by the harbour watching the boats. How to…

Visiting English Lavender Fields Near London

    July 31, 2019 / 6 Comments

Mayfield Lavender Farm, located in Banstead near South London, looks a world away from the busy city. Yet, still sits within the London travel zones. The lavender fields are the perfect spot for a summer day trip and one of my favourite days out recently. Despite its huge crowds and growing number of developments, London remains a city that is still full of green spaces, making up approximately 47% of Greater London. But did you know there’s a massive purple space bordering it’s southern edges? The working farm becomes a popular spot to visit in summer when several varieties of lavender are in full bloom as far as the eye…

Travel Products I’m Buying Before My Next Trip

    July 18, 2019 / 3 Comments

My birthday is coming up soon and not too long before I set off on my bigger trips of the year. These include Malta, Singapore, and travelling around Australia. Although I travel quite often, there’s a few things I want to get for upcoming trips to make my life easier or that I just want to treat myself to, a few that have been on my list of wants for quite awhile. Here’s the travel products I’m planning to get before my next long trips: *Disclosure: this post contains some affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make…

    Exploring the Gower Peninsula, Wales

    July 10, 2019 / 5 Comments

I usually get one of two responses when I say I love Swansea: an incredulous “Why?” from those who have never been there, or a “Aw Swansea! The Gower Peninsula is lovely!” from those who have. Swansea was the first place I lived in the UK, first for a university study abroad semester, and then back for my Masters, but my fondness for it is much deeper than cheap night clubs with sticky floors and a now-demolished student village (RIP). For those not familiar, the Gower Peninsula is located on the coast in South Wales, not far from the second largest Welsh city, Swansea. It was named the UK’s first…
