A Guide for Staying in St Paul’s Bay, Malta
We ended our week long trip to Malta by spending three nights in St Paul’s Bay. Located in the Northern region of the main island of Malta, this bay area is a place of relaxation in the sunshine and leisurely walks around the bay. It’s a bit quieter and less touristy than some of the surrounding towns such as Bugibba. But best of all, St. Paul’s Bay quite central to the rest of Malta and in my opinion a good spot to base yourself for exploring the islands. Things to do in Sliema, Malta
Sliema, Malta is located just over the harbour from the capital Valletta. With a more modern feel than many of the towns on the island, it’s known as Malta’s commercial district, as well as for its shops and swimming spots. While we were staying in St. Paul’s Bay, we decided to take a short bus ride to explore the town for the day. It didn’t charm me the way some of the other places I saw on Malta did, but it’s the place to go when you want swimming and a little bit of luxury. Here’s some ideas of things to do in Sliema. Malta Itinerary for One Week
We spent one week in Malta, which was enough to fit in the highlights but not so much time that we got bored. While one week isn’t enough to see every single great thing to do in Malta, there’s plenty of time to see some of its most incredible places. It’s also small enough that you can see a different town/city and take a new day trip every day. Here’s our Malta itinerary for one week: Valletta Our Malta itinerary started with one of my favourite places. I recommend spending 1-2 days in Malta’s beautiful capital, Valletta. We had a much needed lie-in on our first morning in Malta at…

The Complete Travel Guide for Malta
I often write travel guides for the destinations I visit. But writing a complete guide to an entire country seems like a daunting task unless I’ve seen it all. Writing a travel guide for Malta was different. The small country is easy to see within a week. Matt and I were decided where we could go together on holiday this year, and it was a tough task picking a place with everything we wanted: Somewhere with as much sun as possible/good weather at the end of September Easy to see lots of places in a short period of time Beaches, swimming and somewhere we could feel relaxed Historical sites and…

A Day Trip to Marsaxlokk, Malta
Marsaxlokk is a charming little fishing village located on the southern part of Malta. The village has gained fame for vibrantly painted fishing boats, fresh seafood, and ancient history. It was also one of my favourite places I visited in Malta. The picturesque harbour is the perfect place to relax for the day. On our second to last day in Malta, we caught a bus from our accommodation in St. Paul’s Bay to Marsaxlokk for a day trip. It was my favourite day from the holiday for a number of reasons, but partly because of how relaxing it was spending the day by the harbour watching the boats. How to…
